A 15 kW hybrid solar PV system installed on a residential rooftop near Prizren, designed to combine on-site energy production with battery storage for improved energy independence and operational flexibility.
The installation was executed on a flat rooftop using a ballasted mounting structure, allowing secure module placement without penetration of the roof surface. The module layout was optimized to maximize available space while maintaining proper tilt and orientation for efficient energy production.

Flat rooftop installation using ballasted mounting system, ensuring stability without roof penetration.
Special attention was given to mechanical stability and uniform module alignment, ensuring consistent system performance and long-term reliability under local environmental conditions.
The system integrates a hybrid inverter with a lithium battery storage unit (Hanchu ESS), enabling energy storage, load management, and backup functionality.

Hybrid inverter and lithium battery system (Hanchu ESS), enabling energy storage, backup operation, and intelligent energy management.
This configuration allows the user to utilize solar energy during the day, store excess energy, and use it during periods of low production or grid outages.
Electrical installation and system integration were carried out with a focus on clean cable routing, proper protection, and reliable communication between system components. The inverter, battery system, and distribution panel were installed and configured to operate as a coordinated energy management system.
Commissioning included verification of system parameters, battery operation, and functional testing under real conditions, ensuring stable performance and seamless transition between operating modes.
This project represents a practical implementation of hybrid PV systems, where generation, storage, and consumption are integrated into a single, controlled energy system tailored to the user’s needs.
