R290 is one of the best refrigerants available for mass production to date: Negligible global warming potential (GWP) and degradation time in months; Zero ozone depletion potential (ODP); Evergreen; Less load for the same performance; Low energy consumption and higher efficiency.
Thanks to the use of R290, the Amitime heatSTAR+ (R290) series is now not only the best solution for new buildings, but it is also possible to fit into the renovation market by raising the maximum heating temperature to 70℃. With good performance in this water temperature range, the air-to-water heat pump unit can now be used to replace an old gas/oil boiler without changing the existing heating distribution system, even with old radiators inside.
The value shows the amount of CO2 that has the same global warming effect. To calculate the CO2 impact of a refrigerant, the amount contained in the heat pump is multiplied by its GWP value.
